Your responsibilities

Pitch articles; develop drafts from team outlines.

Pay & benefits

USD 125,000–155,000/year; potentially more for exceptional candidates. Location adjustments below.

Location and currency adjustments

Location adjustments: +21% in the San Francisco Bay Area; +10% in New York City/Washington DC; −10% in certain high-employment-cost countries, or −20% in Brazil, Sweden and France. Contracts/pay are usually local-currency, using annual-average exchange rates.

Medical and life insurance; retirement provision, subject to local arrangements.
Uncapped paid leave with 30 days protected annually; unlimited personal/sick leave.
Permanent staff: four months’ paid parental leave after 12 months’ tenure; prorated before then.
Equipment, productivity and development expenses, including unlimited AI-tool spending, subject to regulations and manager approval.
Berkeley office access, meals and gym.
Coworking reimbursement option; office snacks; input into the new media team’s direction.
