Decide what a research website needs to do, prioritize improvements and guide them through launch.

Your responsibilities
- Set page goals, specifications, priorities and shared navigation/interaction standards.
- Coordinate researchers, design, development and communications from discovery to launch.
- Use analytics, interviews and feedback; obtain user reviews before implementation.
- Resolve design/development questions and own pre-launch quality checks.
What you bring
- Sound product judgment, concise writing and fluency with research/charts.
- Experience delivering web products with designers/developers.
- Understand policy, journalism, research and AI-lab audiences.
- Negotiate priorities constructively; document decisions and follow through.
Useful extras
- AI familiarity; product management in tech, research or newsrooms; front-end knowledge; AI coding tools.
Pay & benefits
USD 115,000–185,000/year, depending on location and experience; adjustments below.
Location and currency adjustments
Location adjustments: +21% in the San Francisco Bay Area; +10% in New York City/Washington DC; −10% in certain high-employment-cost countries, or −20% in Brazil, Sweden and France. Contracts/pay are usually local-currency, using annual-average exchange rates.
